The Dochula Festival, also known as Tshechu or Druk Wangyel Tshechu, was commissioned by Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck in 2011. Uniquely, the festival is entirely performed by the Royal Bhutan Army, rather than by a monastery. Additionally, the Dochula Pass Festival—also known as the Druk Wangyel Festival—is held annually at Dochula Pass to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Indian insurgents in 2003, showcasing traditional Bhutanese music, dance, and cultural performances.
Day1: Paro – Thimphu
